Dreaming of warmer days

It's snowing again so I'm dreaming of warmer days by the seaside. I'm joining the super talented people at Paint Party Friday with this journal page. I used a matte medium, acrylic paints, Aqua Marker pen, Derwent pastel pens, Stickles and a Stamplorations stencil.

We're enjoying a bank holiday, lots of time for dinners and just hanging around at home. Happy Easter for those of you who celebrate!

Birthday cupcake

I needed a Birthday card so my oldest stamp came to good use, the yummy cupcake from Panduro. It's coloured with Pro Markers and a White Posca pen was used for highlights. The image was masked to stamp the lovely Paisley patterned Penny Black image with Distress ink. The text stamps are Vilda Stamps and says "Party, hurray, celebrate" in Swedish. Some Stickles and green dots with a metallic Sakura were added too. I almost forgot to tell about the score lines, easily added with a score board, but to get them on right side of the card was somehow challenging :)

Challenges:
Simply Less Is More: Curve (the Paisly pattern)
CASology: Icing

Can you spot the Boo Boo I tried to hide?!

Thank you so much for visiting, it's much appreciated.

It's my day, so make waves

Hiya, having a nice weekend? Mine was sunny, so the card is perfect, but we're having like 9 degrees Celsius so no warm breezes yet. But you can always dream of tropical beaches and splashing waves when card making at least.

Pixie's Snippets Playground: The turquoise slim border to the left is a snippet cut in three pieces and taped in place lengthwise to create a feeling of a turquoise mat.

Less Is More: Washi tape

CASology: Foliage.

CASe this sketch: I turned it around.

Thank you so much for visiting, it's much appreciated!

Tree high hi!

Hope you're well and high in spirits, if not, lots of hugs! The latest weeks have had both it highs and lows, so here's a tree high "hi" to all on a roller coaster week.

Challenges:
Addicted to CAS: Wood
Snarky Stamper's: X as in Extreme (stamping off the edge)
Pixie's Snippets Playground: Snippets to make the sentiment

Materials used:
A very gentle sprinkle of Brushos onto dry water colour paper and the spritzing with a water mister. The Stampscape tree was stamped off the edge with black ink. The sentiment was cut out from several small snippets with a Cuttlebug die, the cut outs were stacked and glued together. The image panel was also stacked onto lots of larger paper left overs to add a bit dimension and then mounted onto black Panduro card stock.

Thank you so much for visiting, it's much appreciated! Hope your week will be filled with lots of fun crafting.

Lots of love and hugs

Set me free!

Hiya, hope you're well and looking forward to the weekend. I've been down with the flu and it hit me really hard this time, so I'm still in bed on doctor's order. I had an unshown journal page on my 'puter so I thought that I could join the Paint Party Friday, a very inspiring place to visit :)

Friday the 13th

Hiya, hope you're well! I'm late to the Paint Party Friday with this journal page. My intentions was to show it yesterday, Friday the 13th. I thought the image would be perfect with all the black and the slight uneasiness in it.

I used acrylic paints and pens, Aqua Markers, Gesso, a ribbon snippet, some old alphabet stickers, paper snippets to add texture and matte medium.

Have a wonderful creative weekend, get those hands inky or colour stained, tear some paper strips and pick your favourite glue, I will :)

Cool bird out in the cold winter

The trees are covered in glistening frost and the snow heaps are softly embracing the ground, so beautiful, but no chirping birds this morning. So why not a cool bird on a card? A day for daisies has a gorgeous freebie :)

Challenges:
A day for daisies: Layers ( the card has two layers and the card stock)
Less Is More: Ombre
Time Out Challenges: Winter
CASalogy: Cold
CAS(E) this Sketch:

Materials used:
The  gorgeous A day for daisies bird printed onto card stock.

A mask made to cover the tail feathers and to create the icy snow heaps. I used a Tim Holtz stencil, Distress inks, Stickles, Wink of Stella and Derwent pastel pens to colour in them. The bird was also coloured with the pastel pens.

The sentiment was made with Hero Arts alphabet stamps and black ink. Some doodling with a white Posca pen to give another softer snow heap and some Distress Stickles to the branch to give some extra interest.

The image was layered with Panduro glitter card and mounted onto a pearly Panduro card.

Thank you so much for visiting, it's much appreciated! I do have a painting to show too, I'll schedule it to be able to link it to Paint Party Friday.  Take care and stay safe!
