Kitchen towels and a spring clean

Two posts in a weekend, that must be the first of this year. I used my fave Hero Arts large background stamp with mini Distress inks onto watercolour paper, spritzed water and waited. Lovely cheerful colours appeared!!!

Challenges:

This pattern reminds me of my Mum's kitchen towels.

Other materials used:
The corners were cut with an EK Success corner adorner, Technique Tuesday cut out from snippet and Recollections enamel dots.

So we're slowly moving into the spring; glorious sunshine, the birds are chirping with vigour, the Hazels are spreading their pollen, the spring bulbs are showing their first green leaves even though we have frost in the mornings. Is it to early to say "Hello Spring"?! The windows clearly states that they're in a desperate need of a spring clean. Urm, I do think I'll settle down with a cuppa and a magazine, the windows can wait :)

Love and hugs
Maarit

  4. Oh my, this is a pretty card Maarit! And it does reminds me of a kitchen towel. Love the colors that you got with your technique. I agree, the windows can wait a bit longer. Slowly spring is coming here as well. The birds are chirping, and I so love when they do. My windows are in need of a good cleaning as well, but it will have to wait as well because I hurt my foot. Soon though, hopefully. lol Hugs, Brenda

  14. I love those colours! It is a so festive card! And how is it that every stamper has that; there is always one BG-stamp that is so favorite that you have to correct yourself and go for another stamp to use next time...? Make it a good week!

  26. Good plan, enjoy the coffee.
Love the card, though usually I don't care much for kitchen towels.
Mine are not as colourful though, maybe that's the reason.
