Feeling trapped?

This week I was influenced by a very touching story, someone who really was trapped in an awful situation. She deserves something much better and I need to work with my spelling.

Challenges:
Kim Dellow's: Art It Friday - Show Your Face

Materials used:
Black pigment ink pens for drawing, Winsor & Newton watercolours, Derwent charcoal, watercolour and pastel pens, Watering Can Archival Ink, London Fog Memento ink, Ryn designs stamps, Pink Paislee stamps and a Rubbadubbadoo stamp.

Thank you so much for visiting, it's much appreciated. Hope you're free to choose something nice today. I'll replant some Dahlia's :)
Love and hugs
Maarit

  3. I think you have captured the feeling a lot of us have when we are trapped in an awful situation Maarit! Your art work is just amazing and I love your zen-tangling. But what I love best is the emotions you have captured in this piece. I can really "feel" this piece of artwork and I think that is amazing! Hugs, Brenda

  9. This is a great illustration. I love her patterned clothes and snake hair. Poor thing, I hope she gets out of her underwater bottle soon (she looks thin enough to be able to get out).
A terrific and unusual subject for the theme, "The Sea".

  10. That is a very clever way to illustrate the awful feeling. I know you will have a deep empathy for this person..if only the therapy of art and journal making could be brought to everyone that needs it!

  23. Oh Wowzer… this is awesome Maarit… you have really captured the essence of being trapped here… but then the outside of the bottle appears beautiful and seems to represent hope and freedom with the fish, shells and the anchor for security. Really love it!
Hope you have a great weekend!
    Big hugs, Sue B xx
