We're ready for Christmas here, all decorations are up, the pressies are gathered around the tree and most of the food is prepared. Cookies, a fruit cake and sweets safely stored in tins and my sons are still fast a sleep, so I had time for some just for fun tags.
I used some free ornament tags as a base and covered them with MME Bella Bella paper, distress them with Distress Inks, filled in the pattern with a white Sakura pen, stamped with Penny Black stamps from the Christmas Treasure set (a wonderfully versatile set) with Colorbox Frosty white (best white ink so far) and embossed them with a sparkly pearl powder (mixed two powders to get the effect).
These three were covered in cardboard (cut it out from a box, just peel off the side with stripes on it), glued on glitter, Güterman metal effect thread, a fabric star, paper from an old dictionary, scraps and tiny beads. The stamp is a free Squiggly stamp from a magazine; the hair and clothes are paper pieced and the face is coloured with Derwent watercolours. Added glittery effects with Sakura pens and Stickles.
