For someone special

Hope you're keeping warm or staying cool, depending on where you live, and that you're not stressing to much with this seasons preparations. I'm done with the cards and the shopping, so easy with the web shops! So I treated myself to some time in the craft room and played with a fantastic stamp set from Penny Black called Illuminations, I used it both for the image and the backing paper. So nice to leave the Christmas card making for lovely flowers.

I also used:
Old page from a dictionary coloured with Distress Inks.
Tsukineko embossing stamp pad and embossing powder for the image.
Distress Inks to make the image pop, for stamping and distressing the backing paper and for the Prima Flowers.
Liquid Pearls for flowers and Perfect Pearl mist for flowers, backing paper and image, the poor daylight doesn't make any justice to the fab shimmer.
MS border punch, gems and ribbon from my stash ( I actually cut the very short piece of ribbon in halves, it still looks as it goes all the way around).

Simon Says Stamps Challenge: a fab sketch by Domi, thanks sweetie!
Penny Black Saturday Challenge: stamp on anything but white card
Moving Along With The Times: for someone special (can't tell, it will be a surprise)

Hugs

  2. Oh Maarit I agree, I should love to leave Christmas behind. I'm not ready - actually for the first time in years, and I don't like it.
Love the colour you chose for the card, and the flowers are so pretty, looking forward to spring already!

  3. A lovely card Marrit.

So imaginative how you stamped over the print and achieved such interest and I can imagine the shimmer, not easy to pick up on pictures.
