OLW goes patriotic

Good afternoon everyone! Hope you're enjoying your weekend.

Yesterday we went to the Old Town of Stockholm, it dates back to the 13th century. There were a lot of tourists enjoying the good weather, the Royal Castle and all narrow winding cobbled streets. Just as we did :)

That really set me up for Susan Raihala's One Layer Wednesday Challenge as the challenge this week is to make a patriotic card honouring your own country's heritage.

The use of Three Crowns is an old tradition here, so I made good use of the TH crown. I stamped it with Versa Color gold and embossed it with golden embossing powder. The sentiment is also TH and stamped with Distress Ink Broken China. I believe that our forefathers had a lot of dreams that they made come true.
Three golden half pearls were needed to balance the card.

Thanks for visiting!

  1. Maarit, love your brilliant gold crowns. The sentiment from TH is one of my favorites and isn't it so true!!

    Enjoy your weekend

  2. Hello Maarit

What a very elegant card inspired by your visit to Stockholm.

We visited there a couple of years ago when our cruise boat docked there for a day. A beautiful City, but ot enough time to see everything.

    Have a good weekend.
