Flower Power Apron

Monday again and time for a new Cupcake Craft Challenge; Flowers! And we want to see a flower image or an image with flowers, not just as embellies.

We're being sponsored by the generous eyeCandie Creations who are offering 4 images of winners choice.

I went for a flower power linen apron. It'll cheer me up when cooking after a long day. The pink flower were cut out with TH flower die and the larger one was sewn, you can almost see the light green stem and the leaves.

Thanks for visiting!

Hope you're all doing fine! I've been busy tearing papers, several of them, whilst trying to get the edges as wanted.   So here they are, the edges, and a fabby Penny Black stamp and festive Stickles' dots. The background was made with a retired Prickiformar stamp and Shabby Shutters Distress ink. It's greenish IRL, but the photo turned it beige.
The green backing paper was made with Memento Bamboo Leaves, a colour the photo didn't change. Would a day light lamp make a difference?

Could you guess?

Yup, it was a card made by me...I noticed half way through the week that I had added the blurry photo edges as usually, he he! Well, at least I changed the logo!!!

The cupcake stamp is from Panduro, it was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and heat embossed. The topping was stamped a second time and cut out for a 3D effect. The sentiment is from Prima and the backing papers are scraps, yay for that!

I also used:
White Sakura pen
Glossy Accents
Aqua Markers
EK Success corner rounder
QK flower die

I might need a Cupcake today, something distressing happened during the weekend and the only cure is wrapped in paper and full of gorgeous chocklit! Bigger mishaps needs buckets full of tea and minor ones will luckily enough vanish when jogging.

Have a great week and may your scrap heap occasionally give inspiration.

Warm hugs

Hiya all! It's time for a new Cupcake; this week we want to see some bunting and we're being sponsored by the very generous Simon Says Stamp with a $20 Gift Certificate and the fabulous Saturated Canary with 2 images of the winners choice. Please check our blog for all the details.

Saturated Canary kindly offered the team images and as it is the Olympics I thought the image would be perfect. I have been catching glimpses of the Olympics here and there. This week I'm back to school so no time glancing at the athletes for me!

I also used:
Derwent water pens
Sakura metallic pens
UniBall white pen
QK star and corner dies

A few words were highlighted with the cut out stars: winner and Olympic in Swedish if you wonder.

Sticky Situation?

Good morning! We have a lovely sunshine this morning, better enjoy it as long it lasts. I'm not sure if today's card qualifies for the Less Is More challenge, so I'm keeping fingers crossed both for the weather and the card.

I followed the sketch, but I'm still unsure about the amount of white space, loved to work with the sketch though.

The fab pine branch and the sentiment are Penny Black stamps and the edge was made with a MS punch.
I used Pine Needles Distress ink for stamping and Fired Brick for distressing the Laura Ashley paper.

Birdhouse for a Bumblebee

Hiya all! Glad to see you again, hope you're well. Next week I'll be back in the classroom teaching so I'm preparing the term, following the Olympic Games and admiring lazy bumblebees, I think I like them more than butterflies!

I've made a little birdhouse with a bumblebee; I've coloured it with acrylics and made a fence of lollipop sticks. The heart and the pots were made with paper clay. I can really recommend paper clay, it's easy to work with and doesn't crack or wilt whilst drying.

The bumblebee was made of a wooden badge and wire. The grass is also of wood and precoloured when bought.

The tiny flower were cut with a QK die, Liquid pearls and Stickles added for some shine.
