Happy Bunny

Are you well prepared for Easter? I'm not. This is the first attempt to get something done, next step will be the important choccie shopping. That's my favourite part any time. So let's keep it short, the choccies are awaiting! I'm in such a hurry that you actually can see the glue, usually I let it dry before the pic is taken. But not today! Oh, I almost forgot, the text says Happy Easter in Swedish, if you wonder.

I used:
A retired stamp from Kortmakaren
Alpha Markers
Glossy Accents
Sakura pen
Nestabilities oval dies
Quickutz flower die
Sizzix Wingo Zingo alphabet die

I'm entering:
4 Crafty Chicks: Easter and Crazy Eggs
Cute Card Thursday: Happy Easter
Sweet Stampin' Challenge: Spring or Easter
Simply Create Too: Eggs and/or Bunnies

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sound Of Music

Monday morning and time for a new challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenges! This time the lovely Liza wants to hear the Sound Of Music! In other words we want to see something music related on your projects.

We're being sponsored by Bunny Zoe's Crafts and Pink Gem Designs, please check our blog for all the details and to see the teams fantastic work.

I thought about the film Sound Of Music and vibrant coloured hill flowers; hence the colour scheme, maybe it's a bit over the hill top? My excuse is that I'm longing for colours after a long dull winter, hehe.

I coloured the Penny Black Hillflower stamp with Aqua Markers, blending and thumping the markers to get some dimension. Huffed on the stamp to moist it and stamped on watercolour paper.

I stamped the image a second time with embossing ink and embossed with fine clear powder.

The Penny Black music notes from the Clearly in Love set was inked with Broken China Distress ink and the edges  were distressed with Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress inks.

The excess ink from the embossed image was wiped away with tissue paper.

I also used:
EK Success large corner rounder
Sizzix Wingo Zingo alphabet die

I'm entering:
4 Crafty Chicks: Inspired By Music
Sweet Stampin': Anything Goes
Stampin' for the Weekend: Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday: Anything Goes

Have a colour filled week!

Spring Pastels

Good morning blogfriends! I'm really back now, a break from crafting has been good for the mojo. I made a whopping three cards yesterday. It usually takes me three days to make a card, hehe! Or even more...

Here's one for the Creatalicious Challenges, I didn't have a chance to make it when the challenge went alive due to the pneumonia, but better late than never. I just love the wonderful image from our generous sponsor San's design. It was a pleasure to work with! Please check our blog for the fab sketch and all other details.

The image is printed twice and layered for some dimension and coloured with Alpha markers. Perfect Pearls, Liquid pearls and micro beads were added for the fun of it.

I also used:
Spellbinders leaves die
Retired sentiment stamp
Spellbinders oval die
Cuttlebug floral embossing border
MS edge punch
MME Bella Bella papers

I'm entering:
Simply Create Too: It's Spring
Our Craft Lounge: Spring Theme
My Mums Craft Shop: Let's Get Digital

Enjoy your Sunday!

Photo Inspiration

Hiya all! Hope you're all doing fine. It's lovely to be back here again; I came down with pneumonia and haven't been able to blog for a while.

I don't have a card to share today, but I have a photo taken from my balcony on a frosty morning. I've been thinking of using it as inspiration for a card...and I'm a slow cardmaker so it'll take some time.

I'll be back on Monday with a card for Cupcake Craft Challenges.

Have a wonderful weekend with lots of inspiration!

Going Dotty

Cupcake Craft Challenges are going dotty this week so I made good use of the large Hero Arts rain drop stamp with embossing ink and a sparkly/pearly mix of embossing powders on glossy paper.

Sometimes my embossing powder mixes are complete disasters, but this one came along nicely enough.

The glossy paper got a nice layer of distress ink; the ink on the embossed parts are easily removed with tissue paper.

Saturated Canary kindly offered the team images and Baby Jakes is so cool that I couldn't resist him. He's coloured with Alpha Markers, parts of the image got some glossy accents for shine and aqua Flower Soft for texture.

The papers are scraps and the words are cut out with Cuttlebug Baby Face dies.

We're being sponsored by Saturated Canary who are offering two images of winner's choice and by Crafts U Love who are offering a £15 Gift Voucher, fab huh?!

May your day be filled with joy!

Warm hugs

Crumpled Love

I found a lovely tutorial at Clarity Stamps for making a fabulous backgrounds, it's well worth a visit. I didn't have a double sided adhesive so I simplified it a bit.

I crumpled a piece of tissue paper and distressed it with distress inks and golden Versa Color. The more edges the more coloured lines you get. I stamped the image on the tissue paper with Versa Fine and stuck a broad clear tape piece over it. The colouring of the roses was made from the reverse side with markers and some more distress inks were added for some depth. The flowers were cut with TH tattered florals die from the tissue leftovers. Oh, I almost forgot, the stamp is a Penny Black from the Clearly in love set.

I'm entering:
Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes (sorry, out of MME products)

I wish you'll be near your loved ones this evening!

Friendship Bow

Hiya all! Hope you're enjoying the weekend. I've been out in the sun for a long walk, a brisk walk, as it was only a few degrees above zero, but nevertheless enjoyable as the light is here after a long dreary winter. There's some hope for Spring! I've also managed to make a non DT card, the second for this year!!! Sunlight makes wonders for small joys!
Talking about joys; I finally brought out loved Penny Black stamps, they've been badly neglected since a small let down, but here they come again! I used three stamps from the Hugs set, they were stamped with VersaFine black and coloured with Derwent water colour pens. Stickles and Glossy accents were added for some glitter and shine.

I'm entering:
Sweet Stampin' Challenge: Nature Related (ladybirds)
Penny Black Saturday Challenge: Case It  (the shape)
Crafty Calender Challenge: Spring Clean (neglected stamps)
DYSU Challenge: Things With Wings
Cute Card Thursday: Signs Of Spring

You can see the gloss on this pic!
