The recipe:
Young Miss Heartless was printed with an inkjet printer on to a 250 g Canson aquarelle paper.
She was masked with a cut out image printed on ordinary photo copy paper. I used a townscape image from Mel Stampz to to make a mask for the houses. Use thin paper for the masks as they'll give nicer edges. The sky was stippled with Distress inks (fired brick, worn lipstick, spun sugar and antique linen).
The house mask was removed and it was replaced with the cut out part to mask the sky. The houses and the ground were stippled with chipped sapphire and stormy sky Distress inks.
The image was coloured with Alpha Markers and a Sakura neutral metallic pen. The shadowing was made with Cut'n'Dry pen nib and Distress inks, and with marker pens.
The houses were drawn as in Mel's image with a black Sakura pen. The light from the windows was made with a golden Sakura pen.
The ribbons were coloured with markers and the hearts were cut out with QK nesting heart dies (the small heart die was placed on a cut out large heart). I've borrowed the fabulous Fluffie's idea for how to display the hearts.
