Born On Winter's Day

Hiya all, hope you had a great weekend. I made a new acquaintance at an art exhibition yesterday, Twombly, together with two old ones, Turner and Monet. Fabulous paintings and very inspiring, I'm left with an itching urge to work with acrylics, just for the fun of mixing colours and splash a bit, nothing compared with the great artists' work, more like small children like to play with colours. Simple joys, eh!?

Talking about small children, the card above is for a toddler Born On A Winter's Day; and that's our theme for this week chosen by the lovely Louise at Cupcake Craft Challenges.

We're being sponsored by My Mum's Craft Shop who are offering a lucky winner a £10 Gift Voucher! Check our blog for all the details and to see the teams fantastic work! Sadly our teamie, Rachel, has decided to step down, we'll miss you hun!

Card recipe:
Simon Says Stamp Penguin
Coloured with Alpha Markers
Covered with aqua Flower Soft and Fairy Dust Stickles
Glossy Accents for the beak
Hero Arts large rain drop stamp
Distress Inks and Perfect Pearls
Sakura pen for doodling

I'm entering:
Stamptacular Sunday: Texture (flower soft, glossy beak, brads)
Sweet Stampin' Challenge: All That Glitters
Simon Says Stamps: Spots and/or Stripes

Have a fabulous week filled with inspiring colours!

Warm hugs
Maarit

Fab card, the blues give it a lovely cool feel!

Unfortunately some of the Sweet Stampin' DT girls have been unable to leave comments on your blog this week. The rest of the team have rallied round to try & make sure that everyone gets comments but it would be a tremendous help if you would consider the fix. Apparently this is due to blogger issues with an embedded comments box & the way to cure it it is to have a pop up box instead. If you need instructions on how to do this, please see here

http://xxxtglxxx.blogspot.com/2012/01/blogger-issues-white-screen-no-comments.html

where Alison has provided a quick walk though, it's a simple process!

Thank you so much & we appreciate you playing along with Sweet Stampin' xx
