Dance like no one's watching you!

Good afternoon blog friends! Hope you're enjoying the weekend, I'm very pleased as my usual Mojo started to show this weekend. My energy levels have been very low after the op I had in March and I still get tired easily, but it's great to have the creative juices back. It makes a huge difference to everyday life and I even took a few dance steps out of joy, lol!

The tag came with a pair of jeans and it's stamped with Distress Inks with an Inkadinkado butterfly scroll stamp. Also the cut out legs came with the jeans, they are coloured on the backside with Aqua Markers.
The alphabet is TH Vintage Market and the flourish is a Bosskut, they are coloured with Distress inks, Perfect Pearls and Sakura pens and layered to create dimension. The background paper is MME Bella Bella, stamped with a Stampabilities flourish background stamp with Distress Inks. The gem flowers, lace and twine are from my stash.

I'm entering:
Gingersnap creations: Denim, rust and dust
Daring Cardmakers: Passion For Fashion
Creatalicious Challenges: Flourishes

Ho Ho Ho

Yup, here we go again, a new set of Christmas cards. I've noticed that I'm going for more non traditional colours when making them now, not so surprising really as we have a lovely summer warm day over here. And no sign of Father Christmas, a cooling penguin is just what I need. (Hm, +40 and hormones you know!)

The penguin are Simon Says Stamps own, the larger one is stamped with Memories black and heat embossed in clear. It was coloured with Alpha Markers, Sakura Stardusts and Uni Ball white (love this one!). The penguin row is stamped with Distress Ink and got covered with Sakura clear glaze. Snowflakes are Cuttlebug and label is a Spellbinder die. Paper is MME Bella Bella. I also added some Liquid Pearls.

The text is Merry Christmas in Swedish.

Christmas Card Challenges: Photo Inspiration
Christmas Cards All Year 'Round: Fab sketch to work with
Winter Wonderland: P is for...petrol blue, plaid and penguins

I made five cards as the sketch was a dream to work with! Perfect when you need to make a few.

Love You

Hope you're having a fabulous weekend, I'm enjoying mine fully today, doing nothing and did even get some inspiration for a card, couldn't have been better after an overwhelming week. I've been training at a special needs school and there's a lot of new to learn, lovely kids and staff though.

I used a stamp from the PB Illumination set, coloured it with Aqua Markers and spritzed with water and stamped on aquarelle paper. The fancy die cuts are made with a Cuttlebug Ornamental die and cut out to just show the heart shaped parts. The alphabet die is TH's Vintage Market. The decor paper is MME Bella Bella and the gems are from my stash.

You're In My Heart

My intention was to make a very clean and simple card and to enter the Penny Black Saturday Challenge, but somehow the intentions did get lost in the making of it and it ended up with layers and a knot in vivid colours. Maybe I can call it cleanish?! I'm also entering the Cupcake Craft Challenges and their in the garden theme.

The stamps are from the PB Hugs! clear set and I coloured the image with Derwent watercolour pens.

Welcome back Blogger!

Phew, what a week, I'm so happy that Blogger works as usually again! At one point I got a message that my blog didn't exist and when it reappeared neither updates or commenting worked. I've heard of posts disappearing too.

I had intentions to enter with this card and I'm late for Christmas Card Challenge, non traditional Christmas image. I'll see if I still can enter.

Simon Says Stamps penguin and PB text stamps, Nestabilities die, square punch, Stickles, Rangers clear embossing powder, Uni Ball white pen.

I would like to thank the Sir Stampalot team for choosing me to the top three last month, I'm over the moon for it.

Enjoy your weekend,

Penny Black Saturday Challenge are distressing this week. I brayered Distress Inks on glossy cardstock and used masks to create the sun and the mountains. The stamps are from the PB Illumination set and they are stamped with Memories ink. The highlights are made with a white Sakura gel pen. The brads are Papermania.

The idea for the card came from browsing through blogs, I'll add the link if I can find it again...thought I would remember it, but, lol, I never do!

P.S. We have a DT call at Penny Black at Allsorts.

Lägg till bildHope you had a great weekend with time for some crafting, I managed to make a Please Do Not Disturb sign. It's for myself when I have my daily meditation break, he he, it sounds pretentious doesn't it!? Well the story is more down to earth, after my spine injury a few years ago I had to go through a lot of different painkillers, but got allergic reactions against all but one. It helps only a little, so I had to find other ways to keep the pain at bay. A girl has to live too! Light daily exercise and a moment of full relax keeps me mobile and no I'm not all healthy, got a bad sweet tooth and totally love chocolate and all things rich. Had a banoffee at Saturday and a piece of chocolate cake today!

I'm entering:
Charisma Cardz Challenges - No Cards!
Colour Create Challenge - Aqua, Purple, Green and White with the optional glitter
Jules' Crafty Snippet Challenge - To use scraps

I've been following the lovely Jules' challenge for inspiration a while, and thought it was time to enter it properly too. So I've only used scraps this time, I often use them for die cutting but almost never for an entire project. I'm quite pleased with the result and have to say that a colour challenge made it a whole lot easier. The text is in Swedish an it says Please Do Not Disturb, Meditation is going on in this room.

I used:
Stamps: Hero Arts long branch n leaf border, TH harlequin pattern
Dies: TH vintage market alphabet and flower, Sizzlits Skittle Dee Doo alphabet, Cuttlebug tag
Papers: scraps and a sturdy piece from a shirt package
Stickles, Distress Inks, Color Box inks and chalks, embroidery thread

Snow Much Fun

Hope you're having a fabulous day. Mine started with the worst thing I know; blood tests. It's the needles that makes me nervous, even though the nurses are quick and kind. But I had a great meeting afterwards and a really nice lunch so I'm working on the fabulous bit of the day. Kind of good to have it that way.

I'm entering:
Winter Wonderland Challenge - Snow Much Fun
Christmas Card Challenge - metal (silver ink and paper)

The second card is just a test with the inks.
I used:
Stamps: PB Crystalline clear set, Christmas tree from Vilda Stamps
Paper: glossy cardstock and small scrap pieces
Inks: Distress Inks sponged to make the backgrounds, white ColorBox, clear embossing ink and an unknown silver coloured
Dies: Spellbinders oval, Cutllebug corners and snowflakes

Shape Up and DT call

Good morning and welcome to our May challenge at Penny Black at Allsorts. This month our theme is "Shape Up - Anything but square or rectangle" and of course to use a Penny Black stamp or Stickeroo as main image. We also have a DT call this month as the lovely Jules has stepped down from the team.

I used Spellbinders scalloped circle dies to make an easel card and stamps from the Clearly in Love and the Illumination sets.
The Fuchsia is coloured with Aqua Markers and the water spritz technique (you can spritz water quite generously, try on a scratch paper at first) and embossed with fine powder. For the backgrounds I used Distress Inks and Perfect Pearls. The small size of the card is perfect for scraps.
We have fantastic prizes as usually; Penny Black stamps from our new sponsor, Sir Stampalot, a set of Aqua Markers from Letraset and a lifetime 15% discount at PB stamps.
