Criss cross card

Good evening everyone! Hope you're having a good week so far. My week is filled with a lot of meetings, but as I stayed two nights at a spa last weekend I'm still at the track. Almost, he he. To many meetings wears me off, but luckily enough some card making gives new energy.

With my last order I got a lovely gift with material and instructions to how to make a criss cross card. It's a fab and easy way to make a small note card with a matching envelope. Gives a lot more dimension to the card :)

Stamps: Inkadinkando butterfly scroll, Crafty Individuals 116
Colours: Distress Inks, Stickles, Liquid Pearls
Tools: Panduro heart punch
All other embellies and decor paper are from Hobby och Hantverk. Many thanks for a lovely gift! It made my day!
Showing the note card inside the envelope. Isn't that decor paper just so cute! I will need to put in another order just for the paper!

Blog candy winner! And midsummer crop.

Thanks for all followers that took part of my candy. Hehe, I have more visitors than candy lovers! I have now drawn a winner and it is .... Wenche! Congratulations!!!
Send me a mail with your adress to and I'll post the stamp to you :)

Swedish Scrapbooking has a yearly midsummer cyber crop with 14 challenges! This year the challenges are very inspiring. The theme for this card is seven flowers, as we in Sweden are supposed to pick seven different wild flowers tomorrow night and lay them under the pillow to dream about our husband-to-be. Luckily enough I have already found hubby and don't need the flowers, a small nightmare for asthmatics!

I won't go through the flower counting rules, but I followed them. The image from The Greeting Farm is coloured with watercolours and Stickles. Decor paper is Laura Ashley. Corners are Cuttlebug. Green flower and leaves are QK. Golden half pearls are KC. Ribbon and flowers are from my stash.

Thanks for visiting and for any comments you may leave! Hope you get a lovely midsummer eve tomorrow (that's the day we celebrate midsummer here with herring, barbecue, strawberries, a dip in a lake, music and dance around a may pole).

OLW9 Flourishes

Good morning! Hope you're enjoying good weather in your part of the world. We have a lovely sunshine and the strawberries are full of wonderful sweetness. Love strawberries!
Last Saturday we had a royal wedding here in Stockholm and I did see the Swedish crown princess Victoria and her prince Daniel. They were passing just a few meters away and they looked very happy. Lots of people, 250.000, were out to catch a glimpse of them and to celebrate, so we were lucky.

I'm been having fun with this weeks one layer card. I found out that it is easier to make them if I stamp on a scrap piece to find out what ink colours and stamps works together. Then I don't need to use up all my card stock to experimental stamping. He he, it always takes time for me to find out the easy way. The use of scrap paper isn't a novelty!

I used TH stamps for this cards. The flourish has been stamped twice with Distress Ink Broken China to get a complete flourish. The sentiment is stamped with Versa Color Gold. The fab gems are KC and the corners are made with a EK Success corner rounder. The photo doesn't make the colours justice.

You can find the One Layer Wednesday challenge 9 here.

Thanks for visiting and for any comments you may leave. Tomorrow is the last the to join my candy. You can find the link at my sidebar.

Almost weekend and the Swedish crown princess' wedding. I'll be there! Urm, or almost, waving to them tomorrow when they're passing at the street :)

This card is for the challenge at Altheas Mix, the theme is "Love" and the prize is amazing, shopping for 500 Swedish krona, that's like £45 or $60 roughly counted. Today is the last day to enter.

I got a set of Stampscape stamps for my birthday and used the chapel as an image for this card. The background is made by stippling Distress Inks.
Text on banner is Magnolia, stamped with Versa Color and embossed.
Hearts are Quickkutz, distressed with DistressInks and highlighted with Stickles.
Flowers are made with a Panduro punch and also highlighted with Stickles.
The bling half pearls are KC. Roses and ribbon are from my stash.

Alteas Mix
Trevlig helg!

Hope you all get a fab weekend with lots of crafting. And feel free to join my candy, there's a link at my sidebar!

Good morning! Today we have a wonderful sunshine and a new fridge with a freezer is on it's way to our redecorated kitchen. We've been without a freezer whilst decorating, so I'm looking forward to fill it with food. Even though nearest grocery store is only five minutes away :)

Today's card is for the Stampartic challenge as they want to see flowers.
I clear embossed a stamp image from Hero Arts on a dictionary page and coloured the page with Distress Inks.
The brown decor paper is made with TH swirls, Distress Inks and golden Perfect Pearls.
TH Love is stamped on a KC decor paper with Distress Inks.
I used a Panduro heart punch, MS border punch and a Cuttlebug die for embellies.
The lovely Cuttlebug die cut has a fab shimmer of Perfect Pearls, it's a pity it doesn't show better in the pic.
The fab flowers are reused from another card, I added some more Distress Inks and Perfect Pearls to the roses to match the card better.
Half pearls are KC, dragonfly brad and skeleton leaves are from my stash.

I'm quite excited at the moment, I have been able to sell a few of my cards and I think that someone will like this one too. Never thought that anyone would want to buy my cards. But dear hubby and mum were convinced of it :)

Getting out of my box

Hi! Hope you had a fab weekend and have something to look forward this week. I'm looking forward to my birthday cake at Wednesday. A rich chocolate one! Yum! Have lost a few pounds this spring on doctors order so I can say I'm worth it, he he. (Will serve it with some berries so there's something healthy too!)

Susan's fab One Layer Wednesday Challenge is very inspiring. It really gets me out of my box, in a very good way! All you need is ink and stamps and it boosts your creativity. This week we're masking backgrounds.

My first attempt ended up with a mess, there were too much going on. At one point I had a second layer in my hand. It's so tempting to add more...and more. Sigh!
One layers needs less! So I'm showing the second card with some safe boxes :)
The mask was cut out from ordinary paper and I sponged the colour. The paper was a bit too thin, but the colour splats are OK, gives some shabby feel to the very clean card.

Stamps: Inkido
Colour: Distress Inks and Liquid Pearls

Come back later this week for my small give away to celebrate my birthday/blogoversary.

Thanks for visiting and any comments you may leave. They do brighten my day!

Something new, something old...

Hi there! Hope you're all enjoying a fab start on the weekend. Today we have indoors weather, so I've done a bit cleaning and have the rest of the day free for crafting. That's a perfect start! Might need to do something with the family too as the sons are on their summer leave, ten long weeks. I think some Monopoly will be perfect later today. I always lose, he he.

I had a lot of fun with this card. I used the old stippling technique to create the background, different Distress Inks (from dark blue to pale pink and beige) on glossy paper. Made masks to create the sun and the clouds, borrowed the idea from the lovely Jules. The stamps are new for me, two lovely Stampscapes.

By the cute and girly:“something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue..”
The ABC challenge: weather
Stampi'n for the weekend: summer/travel theme

Thank you for visiting and for any comments you leave! Be sure to come back next week, I'll have a small blogoversary/birthday candy!

Finally some one layer cards!

Hope your having a good start on the week even though it's a Monday. Yesterday I managed, at last, to make some one layer cards. It took some practice and a lot of stamping before I was pleased. The rounded corners completed the look of them, just as Bonnie says at her blog!

Fish stamp is Kortmakaren and sentiment is Prima. Dew drops from my stash.

I'm entering:
One layer Wednesday Challenge: repetition (stamps or small embellies)

I made five cards for a giftbox so I'll show you all of them. I used Distress Inks for all the stamping. The blue flower is Prima and the smaller one is a punched one. I guess that this card might not be counted as a one layer card, but the flower do make this card.
Here's one with a Panduro starfish and half pearls from KC.
Gems from KC and a marker pen for the fish eyes to make them pop out.
Sailing boat from Panduro. This card could work for a toddler.

All this whiteness is a bit scaring and I'm not yet comfortable with one layers, but I'll work on it. Can't go around with a fear of clean cards, he he.

Hope you are having a great week and are looking forward to a fab weekend. We'll start our weekend tonight with a Tex Mex dinner and a cowboy or action film with home made popcorn. That's a fab Friday for my sons! I quite like them too, I mean our Fridays, he he.
I'm still working with my clean cards, I have been trying to make a one layer card, but that is more difficult than it sounds. At least for me. It's so tempting to add layers in the making of I'm happily sticking to my layers.

The Penny Black image is colored with watercolor pens and I added some Stickles to the ribbon, grass and flowers.
The decor paper is made with TH stamps, Distress Ink and Versa Color.
I have used a MS border punch and an EK Success corner rounder punch.
Ribbon and dragonfly brad are from my stash.
