My first easel card

Good evening everyone! Hope you´re having a good week so far. I´ve been busuying myself with my first easel card. It was very fun and easy and gives a fab lush card. Guess it´s the first time I had a lot of cooerdenating (hope I got the spelling right!) papers and embellishments to play with too, it really makes cardmaking very easy. Glad Påsk is Happy Easter in Swedish.

Stamps: Image is Magnolia, butterfly is Inkido.
Colours and effects: Watercolour pencils, VersaColor Inks, Distress Inks, Tsukineko embossing powder, Sakura glitter pen for Tilda´s bow, Distress Stickles.
Embellies: Butterfly is KC, the glittery sticker alphabet is DCWV, flowers are Prima, pearls, button and thread are from my stash.
Decorpapers are a gift and I don´t know the make of them.
Tools: MS border punch, Nesties labels, flower punch is Panduro.

Just Magnolia: Easel card.
Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Easter/Spring project with some glimmer.
Friday Sketchers: A wonderful sketch to follow, thanks Claudia!!!

Healthwise I´m like a toddler, needing a midday nap, hehe. In a few days my stitches will be fully reabsorbed, I´m so looking forward to be able to take a bath! Oh,I am taking showers- if you wonder-I´m still fresh as a daisy every day ;)

Hope you get a fab evening,

Springflowers for easter

Good morning! I hope you´re enjoying your weekend so far. Yesterday I tried a walk outdoors and I managed it for five minutes... It was lovely to come out to the warming sun and even better to get a rest after the short but intense exercise, hehe. It will take many months before I´m fully recovered, but that´s normal and I´m happy to manage as much as I do. Especially some crafting ;)

Here in Sweden we have a tradition to bring in bare branches and decorate them for easter. They are often decorated with brightly coloured feathers, but I saw some fab paper flowers and an easy tut at Tesas blogg and decided to have a go with them. It´s in Swedish but it´s a short video and I believe that you can easily follow what she´s doing. All you need are four thin sheets of decorpaper and some ordinary thin steel wire. I used some Origami papers as they are coloured on both sides.
I don´t have a butterfly punch so I stamped and embossed Inkido butterflies and cut them out.

Here´s a close up of one of the flowers. Now when I´m looking at it I think I´ll ink the edges to get some more depth. I often spot something after I have set the project aside, it is like it needs a days rest before I can finnish it. Do you have the same experience?

Well that´s all from me today,

Easter card

Good afternoon everyone! I´m back home from my operation and I did get some lovely gifts. Chocolate from hubby and lots of fun craft stuff from my mother and the lovely Mita at Altheas Mix. I just had to play with some of the gifts although I´m still a bit wobbly, could be the strong painkillers, hehe.

The image is a Magnolia coloured with watercolours and a white Sakura and a Sakura glaze to give the hair some shine. I used dimensional tape to pop it out and made a 3D head.

For the background I used my fab new stampset from Impression Obsession with Distress Inks and Sakura pens, the glaze pens gives a nice resist effect. I do love the new Distress Ink Tumbled Glass :)

The lovely flowers are Prima (thanks Mita!). Corners are Cuttlebug, border punch is MS, leaf and circle dies are QK. Pearls are made with Liquid Pearls. I also used a embossing tool to create lines, you can almost see them near the punched borders. The ribbon came also with the gift (thanks mum!).

I´m entering StampARTics challenge: We would like to see Easter cards in the colors; Lilac, dark blue and black with a hint of yellow and green.

Thanks for visiting,

Spring will come this year too

Good morning everyone! I´m so looking forward to spring and all the lovely soft green colours. I´ve been using them for the spring-is-in-the-air challenge at By The Cute And Girly.

My photos don´t make them any justice, the dull winter light isn´t any good for my pics. (We still have some snow and everything is white and grey, but soon spring will be here too.)

I used scrap pieces to the card to make a paper mosaic. The sentiment says Thousand Thanks in Swedish and I used one of Hero Arts alphabets with golden Versa Color and a Cuttlebug alphabet to create it.
I love to make notes and lists, don´t necessary follow them, but it helps me to remember things. Like all those passwords you need for everything. Gah! I´m hopeless with passwords.

I altered a notebook with a fab snakeskin paper (it´s an Origami paper and I don´t understand Japanese so I can´t help you with the make of it). And I made good use of my Cuttlebug alphabet again, it´s called Babyface, and oval Nestabilities. You can find more altered notebooks at StampTV. GinaK is fab if your looking for some inspiration, she has some free downloads too :)

I´m taking a small break now as my spine operation is planned to be tomorrow. Hope to see you all soon again!
