Clean and simple tissue box cover

Good morning bloggers! Hope you´re enjoying the weekend so far. I´ve been busy sewing and creating things, no new cards so far. It´s very nice to make something else for a change. The weather has also changed and the snow is now slowly melting, YAY!

I´ve seen some fab tissue box covers and wanted to make one too. I searched YouTube for a tut and found a lovely one from Paperprintables.
I used cardstock and decorpaper from DCWV and inked all edges with Distress Inks. I love the decorpaper from the Once Upon A Time pad, it almost looks like the dragon is sneezing! I didn´t add any embellishments, the papers is enough as it is. A very clean and simple creation this time!

Welcome Alvin!

This card is for a baby boy called Alvin (the text says Welcome Alvin in Swedish). I followed the fab sketch at Just Magnolia, or urm, that was my intention. I just noted that I might have forgot some elements, hehe. But I´m so pleased with how the card turned out so I wont change anything. I´ll use the sketch often!

Decorpapers: old digi download (Funky Fairys)
Stamps: Magnolia
Colours: watercolours, Distress Inks, Stickles, Liquid Pearls, Sakura pen
Tools: MS border punch, Dymo for text, paper piercer for the faux stitches

The button is from Panduro and the ribbon is from my stash.

A Spoon Full of Sugar: Distress Inks, Pearls, glitter.
Just Magnolia: Fab sketch by Jay Jay, thanks, it was great!

Soft springcolours

I´ve been looking at this years spring fashion, lots of clothes with soft pinks and beige. I have an old beige coat and a pink cardigan so I´m ready for the spring although it seems that I´ll have to wait until April. It´s -10 degrees Celsius and still snowing. Hehe, it gives me time to find a pair of trousers. It´s much more fun to buy stamps or dies! And easier too.

I went for soft pinks and greys with this card and didn´t colour the image. It´s heat embossed with the Distress Embossing powder Weathered Wood and looks fab in real life. Didn´t want to spoil the effect with colouring. It does feel a bit like cheating though...

Decorpapers: Laura Ashley and one that I made
Stamps: HouseMouse and Tim Holtz
Colours:Distress Inks, VersaColor, Stickles, Distress Embossing powder
Tools: Cuttlebug corners, distressing tool
Ribbon is from my stash.

Vivid red colours

I had some difficulties to make this card, couldn´t get it together, tried different papers and embellies ... wondered for a moment if it was meant to be a bin card... and then it turns out as a nice and quite simple card. I guess that I wanted too much. Love those rare moments when cards creates themself without no need of thinking.

Stamp: Magnolia
Colours: watercolours, Distress Inks, Crackle paint, Stickles
Decorpaper: Laura Ashley
Ribbon: Panduro
Tools: Nestabilities, EK Success corner punch (easy to make scalloped borders with it too)
Gems are from my stash.

Sir Stampalots moving challenge

I´m entering Sir Stampalot fab challenge "Moving" with this card. When you open the card the butterflies moves as they are attached to acetate. You can find a tut here.

(The card is crooked and will need some gentle pressure to straighten up.)

Stamps: Inkido butterflies
Colours, Inks and effects: Versa Color, Distress Inks, Frosted Lace Stickles, Sakura glitter pen, Dimensional Magic, Distress Embossing powder, Perfect Pearls
Papers: Panduro and Funky Fairys
Tools: scissors, distressing tool (my unstitch tool), Cuttlebug folder, QK flower for the inside
Gems are from my stash.

The acetate is attached with glue dots. The gluedots are hidden with a QK flower and a small butterfly. Hurry over to Brenda if you want to join the fun too!

It´s still snowing here and I´ll stay indoors today, need to catch up with the household and some bloghopping. Tomorrow I´ll take a walk to a local castle, I so hope that they have taken care of some of the snow. Otherwise it will be more of a workout than a walk, hehe.

Keep warm (or cold if you live in a warmer country) ,

I did choose the lovely red colour and small roses

Well time to get a cup of tea and make some small preparations for tomorrow...some ironing that is, I would rather make a card but I find it hard to wear clothes with too many wrinkles, hehe.

Keep warm and enjoy the rest of your day,
