A set for a teenage boy

Good afternoon everyone! This week I´ve made a set with an exploding box. Yeah I know, they look very least I think so, but this one was really easy to make. I got the inspiration from Bonnie.
To the outside I have used Hero Arts Woodgrain pattern, QK star, Cuttlebug border, oval Nesties and a piece of fabric. I wanted to keep it clean and simple as the reciever is a teenage boy.
Here´s the inside, it unfolds when you take the lid off the box. There´s some space for a greeting behind the american football player. I´ll add a small treat inside the box too.
The image is Greeting Farm, decorpaper is KC Blue Awning and I have used a MS border punch to create the feeling of a fence.

Here´s the card that will make the set complete. The helmet is cut out from the Greeting Farm image, the stars are Cuttlebug, the corners are QK and the graffiti text is computer generated. It says: Cool Dude. Hope he´ll be able to read it, hehe. I might need to tell that he needs a new helmet if you wonder about the cracks on the helmets. I used a good amount of my Magic Dimensions and cracked the surface when it was dry.

A Spoon Full of Sugar: Freestyle.

Cupcake Craft Challenges: A matching set.

All we need is love...

Good day everyone! Hope you´re enjoying the weekend. Now when I´m working part time I really do enjoy my weekend mornings, I can have my morning cup of coffee and read the papers in my bed. Today I also had a crispy cookie with safron and almonds, mmm. The joy of not needing to rush to work!

I struggled with this card a few days, I wanted to make an image with a tree with heartshaped leaves, but it went straight to the bin. So the card ended up without no image at all!

Decorpapers: computer printed notes on vellum, you can find free notes on the web to print out. Let the vellum dry for a day, it smears awfully the first day.
I made the other paper with Distress Inks and Perfect Pearls. All paper distressing is also made with Distress Inks.
Paper pieces from a dictionary.
Stamps: flourish, sentiment and frame are Tim Holtz.
Tools: unstitch tool for distressing, QK photo corner die, flower and heart punch are Panduro.
Embellies: Rangers Liquid Pearls, ribbon and gems are from a blogfriend (thanks Yvonne!)

A Spoon Full of Sugar: lots of layers.

Bizzy Becs Creatalicious Chellenges: no image.

Cupcake Craft Challenges: the lovely sketch to follow, thanks Kathrin, it´s fab!

Simon Says Stamp Challenge: punch it!

Paper pleating

Good afternoon! I hope you´re all well and warm. I´m down with a small cold, that´s the downside to work at a school. All bugs love schools! My camera seems to have caught the bug too, the colours looks a lot more cold than they are IRL.

This is my first try with paper pleating, it gives a nice texture to the card. I followed the lovely tutorial at Just Magnolia.
The flowers are also fab for texture and I don´t know how many I made, only to end up in the bin. Then I found a fab recipe here. Bonnie has made several post about Bloomers but the link is only for the tut. Isn´t it amazing with the cardmaking society that people are sharing techniques so freely. You don´t have to buy expensive how-to books or classes, just need to spend some time visiting blogs.

Decorpapers: Laura Ashley
Stamps: Image is from Magnolia, flourish and old writing are Tim Holtz
Colours and effects: Distress Inks, Versa Color, Reprint embossing powder, glitter Panduro
Others: ribbon and buttons are from my stash

Just Magnolia: paper pleating
Friday Sketchers: follow the challenging and fun sketch, thanks Claudia!
Cupcake Craft Challenges: going girly, the image is very girly :)
Simon Says Stamp Challenge: shabby chic

Hot cocoa

Good afternoon everyone! Hope you´re all warm and well. We have - 12 degrees Celsius and lots of snow, it reminds me of childhood winters. And I think -12 is so much better than - 18 which we had a few days ago, but I do love a cold winter with snow as long as my home stays warm and I can have a cup of hot cocoa :)

I found a lovely cocoa cup template at Clear & Simple Stamps, they have fab freebie templates, even I can follow them, hehe. This template was perfect for scraplings (all those broad 12 inch long scrap pieces). I would use this for coffee and tea lovers too.

Stamps: Simon Says Stamps fab penguin, Hero Arts alphabet.
Inks and colours: Versa Colours for distressing, Faber Castell markers, Stickles on penguin (doesn´t show too well on my photo)
Papers: Scrap pieces and DCWV cardstock with white core
Tools: Oval Scalloped Nesties, QK candy, DYMO for sentiment (the cheaper DYMOS works perfect with cut cardstock too)
Embellies are from my stash. Marshmallows are Haribo - yum.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge- hot cocoa or brown and pink, I used both :)
A Spoon Full Of Sugar - hearts.
By The Cute And Girly- Something new; I´ll give this cup to a new friend, she has had a cold for four weeks now, I hope she´ll like it.

Warm winterhugs

Happy New Year!!!

Good afternoon everyone! I hope your Christmas was warm and comfy and that you did get everything you wished for and more. Me and both my sons got the flu and spent most of the time recovering. But as we already had done all the shopping and decorating we got a nice Christmas opening the pressies, watching DVD films, enjoying some of the treats and all the Christmas lights. At New Years evening we were all well and enjoyed all fab fire works. I´ve had a small break from cardmaking and have been scrapbooking just for fun. But here´s a party card for the New Year! The dew drops make me think of fab bubbly drinks :)
