Small album for memories

I´ve made this small album for some pre school memories, it also works well with school memories. It´s great to collect photos from plays, mascerades, outings and exhibitions. You could make an album for best friends too. This is for Simon Says Stamp.

It´s so easy to make these if you have Melitta coffee/tea filters. You will also need a bunch of matching decor papers. I´ve covered both sides of the filter with DP. I sewed all sides on the first and last filter, the other filters still have the opening left for private tags with journaling or more photos.

For this album I used 8 filters, I didn´t want to bore you with pics of all of the pages.
I´ve borrowed the album idea from a book by Cathrine Rein Carlson and Turid Eide and it´s called new Scrap ideas. I don´t know if it´s available in English too, mine was in Swedish.

Papers are from a retail shop called Clas Ohlson, a heaven for men with some goodies for us too, hehe. I´ve used Distress Inks and stamps from Tim Holtz, House Mouse, Prima, The Paper Studio, Panduro and a nameless one. Dies are from QK, Cuttlebug, Sissix and Nestabilities. I have also used a flower punch from Panduro, Sakura pens, Dimensional Magic, DMC thread and been handy with me scissors. Lizards are from my stash.

I got my Magnolia Fall Kit today, hooray! I´ll go and play with those cuties now. Take care!!!

3D card for dad

Here´s my first try to make a 3D card and it´s for Magnolias monthly challenge. I used my foam pads but they were a bit too thick, when I put them under Edwins shirt he seemed to have eaten too much for a long time, so I had to cut the foampads into smaller pieces. It´s probably easier to follow Magnolias fab tutorial, hehe. I used 3D for his face, shirt and shoes.
As I made a manly card with brown colours and some metal fasteners it can also fit in for Creatalicious monthly challenge.
Stamps are from Magnolia and Tim Holz. I´ve used Memories and Distress Inks. Ribbon is KC Blue Awning, papers are craft papers. Alphabet is Sissix, tag and corners are Cuttlebug. Image is coloured with Derwent watercolours. I´ve added golden accents with Rangers Perfect Pearls and a Sakura pen, and glossy 3D accents with Dimensional Magic. Thread is DMC and fasteners are from my stash.
Here´s a close up on the 3D effect. (You can also see the stains Edwin got on his shirts after cooking a steak, he should have used his apron.)

Yesterday I got my paper storage ready for use, now I got all my papers beside my craft table. It works well as I haven´t got tons a papers...yet. I could also use it for magazines or scrap pieces.
I made the pocket storage with some fabric leftovers and a lovely lace I´ve had for years. I found the recipe in one of Tone Finnangers fab craft books, I think you can get them in English too.

I hope you get a sunny day,

Christmas in August

Simon Says Stamp has Christmas as this weeks theme. That´s great! This year I´ll have some hand made cards for family and friends. It will be fun to hear what they think...or not, hehe.
The sketch is from Funky Fairies, at first I had some difficulties to sort out how I should use it. After testing different papers I´m quite pleased with the result and I´ll try the layout again. Now when I look at the card I only hear "She´ll be coming down the mountain when she comes" in my mind, lols.

Stamps and inks: Magnolia and Kortmakaren, Memories ink and a silvery one

Colouring: Derwent watercolours

Papers: flowery Origami paper, dotted one from Funky Fairies, all others are craft papers

Misc: star ribbon is Bazzills Just the edge that I covered with a DP, small stars Gütermann, snowflakes from local craft store, Rangers stickles and liquid pearls (it´s too fluid, smears and lives it´s own life), gems from Panduro, Dimesional Magic for pressie ribbon

Hope you all get a fab weekend!

Cupcake card

Cupcake Challenges are celebrating this week with loads of gorgeous candy. They want to see a birthday card with cupcakes. All their DT have fab cards! A small warning though, you´ll need nerves of steel if you´re on a diet, cause all those cupcakes are deli! The cards made me crave for lovely chocolate cupcakes with strawberries, so my colour scheme went along that line.
As I used ribbons I can also enter Whimsy Stamps Challenges (I got their stamps on my wish list, the only problem is that my list stretches all the way from Stockholm to Brighton when unrolled, hehe).

Stamps and inks: Panduros cupcakes, Magnolia tag stamp, Memories and Distress Inks

Papers: pink paper from Funky Fairies, all others from Panduro

Misc: Rangers Stickles, brad and big flower The Scrapbook Store, Dimensional Magic for the strawberries, ric rac ribbon, gem and small flower punch from Panduro

Tools: Sissix swirl die, sewing machine, unstitch tool for paper distressing, scissors

Hope you get a fab day,

Beach layout

Friday sketchers has a lovely sketch this week. Works fab as a layout too! Although I had to alter it a bit to get a better balance as I´m working with A4 size.
Colour Create wants to see blue, sand, silver and black. Four different colours are always challenging, so much easier with only two or three colours. But I do love a challenge when I see it, hehe! Next I´ll have a go making a 3D card, I guess that will take both some time and patience to colour and cut it out. Ah well, now the household needs some attention and my body needs a workout. Hope you all get a fab weekend!

Papers: blue vellum, blue crafts paper, KC Blue Awning
Stamps and inks: TH stamps, Distressing inks, VersaColor
Tools: Cuttlebug embossing folder, Sissix alphabet, sewing machine, unstitch tool for paper distressing
Misc: flowers from The Scrapbook Store, brads Reprint, wax cord and heart button from Panduro, black buttons and sentiment from my stash, Sakura pen, acrylic colours for heart button

Not a card Simon says

Good morning everyone! I´ve managed to get some time and energy for stamping again. I´ve had some tiresome but giving meetings during the past week, hubby is redecorating the kitchen and my sons has a week left before school starts so there has been too much going on for some relaxing crafting. When you need it the most there´s no space for it! But I have been bloghopping and looking at all your fab creations :)

This one is for Simon Says Stamps challenge "Not a card".

Stamps: Tingtura image, Tim Holtz stamps for the background.
Papers: watercolour paper and Bazzill Swiss dots.
Inks: Memories ink for the image, DistressInks for distressing, colouring and background.
Tools: QK star die, hole punch.
Misc: DMC thread, Sakura pen for some dots and Perfect Pearls for shimmer (at least IRL, my pic didn´t capture it at all).

Hope you get some time for crafting today!

Layout challenge

I had just been thinking of what to do with these two photos of my sons almost ten years ago...arrgh,that makes me feel old all of a sudden...when I came by this challenge at Swedish Scrapbooking. Lovely layout to work with! I didn´t have enough of any matching paper to use for the circle (doesn´t show to well on the photo, if you cklick on the image you might be able to see it) and not enough ink in my writer for digi downloads, so I stamped inside a circular line to give some background. One of my inks went dry too, real shortage here, hehe, next step is to move forward to all my acrylics. I´ve got loads of them!

The text is in swedish, Sun Sand Swimming and Summer :) So my bad doesn´t mean that my sons are bad in any way, hehe.

Papers: Basic Greys Lime Rickey, Bazzill cardstock, ordinary crafting paper

Stamps and inks: Inkidos butterfly, Tim Holtz flowery swirls, Versa Color ink

Tools: Panduros small flower punch, QK flower die, Sissix alphabet, unstitch tool, I used a dinner plate to draw the circular line, hehe, no fancy tools here!

Misc: Sakura pen for small dots, Rangers stickles for highlights, crocodile from my stash

Well that´s all, tomorrow we are off to the beach. Hope you all get a lovely weekend!

Distressing must be this weeks favourite, both Just Magnolia and Simon Says Stamp has it as a challenge. It also happens to be my favourite, lucky me! I really enjoy to rub in different ink colours to give some shading to the papers. The lovely sketch is from Friday Sketchers, I think I´ll use it again, so easy and fun to work with. My Edwin did get golden stripes on his shirt, you might be able to see them if you click on the pic. (I´ll see if I can get a better photo tomorrow :))

Papers: Bazzill cardstock, the others are from Panduro

Stamps and inks: Edwin from Magnolia, sentiment is Prima, bubble plastic, Distress Inks from Ranger

Colouring: Derwent watercolours, Sakura pens for some highlights

Tools: Swirl die from Sissix and unstitch tool for distressing

Misc: Star is a RockStar chipboard, can´t remember from who, brads from the Scrapbook House and some Dimensional Magic to the drinks.

Card bag for Stampartic

Good morning everyone! Hope you have some nice plans for the weekend. Or maybe you are like me, no plans at all but free to do what you feel for.
I´ve been working for some days with this card bag for Stampartic and my fingertops are blueish with ink, hehe. I´m not sure if I will keep the paper "clip" on the top of the bag. If you have some ideas for the top they are welcome.

Stamps: Frame from Prima, boy from Tingtura, all others are Tim Holtz.

Inks: Distress inks, I´ve used them for colouring the image too.

Papers: dark and medium blue are craft papers, light blue Bazzill Bling, all others are Panduro.

Masks: Tim Holtz.

Dies: Big stars QK, small stars, crown and embossing plates are Cuttlebug.

Misc: I´ve added some golden tone with PerfectPearls, thread is DMC, acrylic paints and crackle effect for the crown are from Panduro, brads and safety pins are from my stash, I have used my unstitch tool for some paper distressing.

I´m very happy for comments, then I can come and visit you too :)

Lämna gärna en kommentar när du hälsar på, då kan jag komma och hälsa på dig med :)
